SETTING UP ACCOUNT

To Register – Once the Application is downloaded then Open the Application and go to “My Profile” and enter the details which are asked and then click on “Sign-up”

You will get OTP on your mobile number which you have mentioned.

For Android user

Go to “Google Store”>search “STEP LOCAL”>click on “STEP LOCAL” and then Install the Application on your phone.

For iOS user

Go to “App Store”>search “STEP LOCAL”>click on “STEP LOCAL” and then download the Application on your phone.

Once you go to “STEP LOCAL” on the mobile. From the menu click on “My Profile”. It will ask “Already have an account? LOGIN”. Select “forgot your password”. You will need to enter the mail id which you have mentioned at the time of registration and then select “recover password”.

You will receive a mail in your registered mail id which will have the link to reset your password. Please follow the instructions to reset the password.

No, there are no charges for the registration.

No, you do not have to register to shop. When you input your address, the application will show the shops in your area, which are registered with STEP Local. However, if you want notifications regarding the status of your purchase, or to process your requests / returns etc, it is advisable to register.

Registering as a “Guest”, will not help you to check the status of your order.

You can have only one account associated with one phone number / email. For multiple registration you will have to use another phone number / email.

Yes, you can have multiple address in one account. But the delivery will happen only to one address which will be selected by you at checkout.

No, you cannot have multiple accounts with the same number and email id.

Yes, you can save multiple addresses in your account. You can select the address where you want delivery to be made at the time of placing the order.

My Account, available on the website www.steplocal.app, holds the personal information you have provided at the time of registration, addresses that you want to save as well as your order history.

PAYMENT

At present we are providing only Cash on Delivery (COD) & Paytm/ UPI to promote your local neighbourhood stores.

Prices shown include taxes and no additional tax is added.

Delivery and Service Fee is exempt only during the time of the pandemic.

It is safe to use the credit / debit card. Currently we are not accepting credit / debit cards for payments.

‘Cash on delivery’ means that you pay the delivery executive the value of your purchase on delivery of your order.

At checkout after placing order.

ORDERS

You can add or remove the products by sending the message to merchant through mobile application. If the order has been packed by the merchant, then you cannot modify (add or remove) the order.

No, it is not possible to order item which is out of stock

Click on “My order” and you will be able to see the current status of your ordfer. Also, you will be able to see your previous orders.

You will be get a call or message from the merchant for the update about the items which are not available from your order.

You can call the merchant / store (by calling him or messaging through app) in case you receive defective (broken / leaking / expired) order. The merchant will be taking corrective steps as per standard market practice.

No, we do not allow multiple merchant / store for single order. For other outlets / merchant you need to place a fresh (new) order.

The current running offers / promotions will be displayed on the home screen. You will also be getting the message for the offers / promotions.

You can cancel the order before your order is packed and picked-up. You need to call the Merchant for the cancellation. Cancellation cannot be done if the order has been packed by the merchant / store and picked-up by the Delivery Executive.

DELIVERY

The delivery will be done by Delivery Executive.

Address cannot be changed after the order has been accepted.

Delivery is FREE during the coronavirus pandemic.

Please check the app for delivery areas.

You will get updates on status of your order by messages on your app and your email (if you have provided one during registration)

The minimum order is determined by the merchant / retailer.

It depends on the product order. There are few products which are delivered on the same day. However, we do not promise same day delivery.

You can add a product by messaging to the store directly through your app. It is up to the store to accept the change in order.

MISCELLANEOUS

STEP Local does not have any stores.

Yes, anyone can create an account with a valid address and place orders.
